duplicate records within the mySAP Business Suite. These
applications can improve the quality of your name and address databases as a
direct user dialog or batch application, and are enterprise-wide
address verification and duplicate identification tools that provide
quality data feeds to the SAP database for error free customer and
vendor communications.
Optimize Your Database
SAP’s open application concept supports the integration of the complementary
software solutions -- post and mail -- to validate and correct the addresses
of prospects, customers, suppliers, and partners that are managed in SAP R/3, mySAP
ERP, mySAP CRM and SAP NetWeaver™.
post:
• Validates postal addresses within the mySAP Business Suite. SAP
Certified integration assures that addresses with valid postal codes,
town names, street names, and correct house numbers or PO Box
numbers, are stored and managed properly in the system database.
post is available for use with any or all Anchor provided address
databases from over 220 countries and is 100% Unicode - capable.
• Uses various error tolerant algorithms and extensive reference tables
to automatically perform the postal verification and correcting of
address information. In cases of unresolved ambiguities, users are
shown a dialog box that lists available valid address alternatives,
from which they can select the best alternative. This application has
been adapted to work with the most up to date SAP functions.
• Facilitates address updates as postal address data is updated.
mail:
• Uses error tolerant search techniques to identify, retrieve and eliminate
duplicate name and address records using fuzzy logic and phonetic
matching. Mail is SAP Certified for integration based on SAP standards.
It finds duplicates, even if they were stored incorrectly or if inquiries
contain errors.
• Is an automated procedure, which is used prior to adding or modifying
any record in the database. Users initially define the business rules
for duplicate matching. Each potential duplicate record is scored based
on the likelihood of being a duplicate as new records are entered.
• post and mail are available as “plug & play” online components directly
integrated into the Business Address Service (BAS) without any
application development for mySAP CRM, mySAP Fin, mySAP ERP, SD,
MM, IS-M, and IS-U, or outside BAS in custom components, Add-ons, or
web IC Web client, Web-GUI, or PC UI.
